Mees Borgman (The Netherlands, 1992) is an interdisciplinary artist working as performer, actress, musician, choreographer, dramaturge and co-artistic director of Landmarks Collective.
In her work she is researching the connection between body, landscape, sound and ecology. Looking for the balance between universal and personal ingredients. As well as a creator and a performer.
In 2015 she graduated with a B.A. in Mime from the University of the Arts in Amsterdam, and has been working with different theater groups, theaters, directors and other artists ever since.
She experiences theater and cinema as an arena where proposals for the future are being created and tested. Where we freely can discover things we can not see or talk about off stage.
Being part of a generation that has to deal with climate change she feels the urge to actively take part with her work by inviting ecological systems to join her processes.
